Vol. 5 No. 1 (2026)
Editorial Note (Volume 5 Issue 1)From the Editor-in-Chief
It is with great pleasure that we present this new edition of the journal, showcasing scholarly contributions that reflect the dynamic intersections of clinical practice, public health, and healthcare workforce development.
This issue opens with an important investigation into the effects of preoperative dexamethasone and relaxant-free techniques in surgical settings. By examining perioperative pharmacologic strategies and anesthetic outcomes, the study contributes valuable evidence toward optimizing patient safety, improving recovery profiles, and refining contemporary anesthesia practice. Such work reinforces the critical role of evidence-based interventions in enhancing surgical care.
In parallel, this edition addresses a pressing public health challenge: substance abuse relapse. The featured study on relapse prevalence provides insight into the persistent burden of substance use disorders and highlights the need for strengthened rehabilitation frameworks, continuity of care, and psychosocial support systems. As relapse remains a complex biopsychosocial phenomenon, research of this nature is indispensable for informing policy and clinical programming.
Equally compelling is the comparative assessment of knowledge and attitudes among surgical nurses. By evaluating professional competence and perceptual frameworks within the surgical workforce, the study underscores the importance of continuous education, institutional support, and practice alignment with evolving standards of care. The strength of any healthcare system ultimately rests on the preparedness and attitudes of its professionals, and this research contributes meaningfully to that discourse.
Collectively, the articles in this edition reflect our journal’s commitment to advancing clinical excellence, promoting public health awareness, and strengthening healthcare systems through rigorous research. We remain dedicated to publishing scholarship that not only expands academic knowledge but also translates into practical impact for patients, practitioners, and policymakers.
We extend our sincere appreciation to our authors, reviewers, and editorial board members for their continued dedication to scientific integrity and excellence. We trust that readers will find this edition both insightful and impactful.
